What wonderful photos. I had no idea their turbans were identifiers of their village/area. It’s like the hats of the women in South America – fedoras, stovepipe, bowler, and the white felt of the Cañari.

Love this collection of turban photos! One of our favorite travel experiences EVER was the camel fair in Pushkar, and primarily due to the diversity of tribal peoples arriving across the desert from near and far.
