    1. Well, it’s a long time ago, but my feeling is I don’t think she knew she was being photographed. I usually sit for quite a while before I get the camera out, and try to be as unobtrusive as possible. I’m not stalking, I just prefer candid photography. I think the expression on her face is to do with her prayer and what she’s doing. Don’t you think she looks kind of intense?

      1. I don’t know about intense. Maybe. The man seems absorbed in his prayer, but the young woman on the left could be pretending not to notice the camera. It’s hard to imagine that she wasn’t aware of you. Her eyes are mesmerizing!

  1. It’s very interesting to see the photo through your eyes. For me, it’s the woman in the middle that stands out, not the younger woman. But thanks to you, I have looked at this photo quite a lot now, and looked at it with attention.

    1. Hi Liesbet, I’d love it if you’d call me ‘Trace’ already! That’s the beauty of having time to travel, – when you hear of a place, you can just go and see what it’s all about. And if it doesn’t work out, no biggie, just move on to the next place. But almost everywhere has something going for it in some way.
